During holding several COVID relief programs, we were aware of the socio-economic situations of the residents.The employment rate experienced a sharp decline amidst the pandemic. The agriculture sector is a flourishing one, however, due to other problems like illiteracy, negligence, and inadequate infrastructure and social amenities, the available resources are not being mobilized to their full extent.
Considering the issues of poverty, unemployment, and uncertainties, the goat distribution project emanated. Intensive goat farming, which is often practiced by the majority of people in rural Nepal, is a favorable livestock enterprise that requires relatively low capital and labor which makes it a lucrative proven livestock business. The project is operated to ease the financial burden and improve the everyday lives of 20 households consisting of members from marginalized and socio-economically vulnerable communities. As per the National Data Profile, 2.4% of the population belongs to the disability group. The beneficiaries also include members belonging to the disability group.
