…Initiatives to improve the health of women, children and seniors
Health is wealth, however, most of the people, especially those who live in dire straits, are not able to maintain their health and avail themselves of the health services due to reasons such as financial instability and lack of easy access to health facilities in remote areas. Prayas Nepal has been conducting FCHC programme since many years with objectives, which are as follows:
• To provide free health treatment and medicine to the people who are deprived from
basic health service,
• To identify certain diseases after the consultation with medical supervisor (Prayas Nepal collaborated with major hospitals of Kathmandu) and provide them with appropriate treatment and medicines,
• To manage the complicated cases for further required treatment,
• To raise awareness on health, hygiene and environmental issues.
