Family is the best place for a child to nurture love, care and proper guidance, the basic right of every child. And family is the first place where a child begins to learn the principles of living harmoniously, healthily, happily within the society. With a vision to provide family for the orphan and abandoned children residing at the children’s home of Prayas Nepal, we have started coordinating country and inter-country adoption following the national as well as international laws for adoption. It has been successful in placing 13 orphan and abandoned children in the family of different countries including Nepal. We are pleased to get positive response through such adoption programs and thus further initiation has been taken to place more children through this program giving them a family and a bright future.

DOMESTIC ADOPTION:

Even though there is an increasing awareness and acceptance of adoption, it is still very difficult to understand the concept of adoption in Nepalese society. Adoption in Nepal is rather focused to the families than for the goodwill of the child. This concept has widened the problem in domestic adoption. We are emphasizing on adoption within the country.

INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION:

Couple or single woman having foreign Nationality can apply to adopt a child through Prayas Nepal in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Nepalese Government. The organization is functioning in the USA, Germany, Austria and Italy through different agencies of the country for international adoption.
